This is a unique multi-category event aimed at showcasing and rewarding the most innovative student-driven projects in sustainability.

Event Overview: The SIC will take place on March 13-14, 2025, at EPFL’s RLC Forum. Student teams from diverse backgrounds will compete in different project categories. This event will not only offer teams a platform to pitch and live-demonstrate their projects and explore their scalability and social impact but also provide a unique forum for learning and collaborating with industry and academic leaders in sustainability.

Competition: Each of the two competition days will focus separately on the different categories “low-tech technologies” and “high-tech technologies”. Teams will have the opportunity to pitch their projects in front of a panel of judges, which includes influential leaders from academia and industry. There will be awards, public voting, and networking opportunities following each category session.

Forum: The SIC event will also feature a forum, where the students’ teams can exhibit their findings and developments, alongside companies and laboratories actively working in sustainable technologies. Moreover, we will be hearing from leading experts in sustainability, addressing key challenges and recent achievements in the field. Therefore, in addition to the competition, the schedule will be full of stands, workshops, live prototype demonstrations, and more – not to miss!
