FUNDACION SUYUSAMA

Description

Canastas Verdes is a collaborative initiative, supported by the Fundación SUYUSAMA, in Pasto, Nariño. It fosters responsible consumption and fair trade through agroecology, sustainable local development, and the social and solidarity economy.
At the heart of the project is the delivery of a “canasta verde” filled with organic, fresh, and nutritious products, cultivated in the municipalities surrounding the Galeras volcano. This creates a direct and equitable relationship between local producers and consumers, eliminating intermediaries. To further ensure product integrity, the organic agriculture production is certified through a Participatory Guarantee System (SPG).
By choosing Canastas Verdes, participants not only enjoy high-quality food, free from chemicals and with greater nutritional value, but also:

  • Care for their health and the planet.
  • Directly support small producers, boosting the local economy.
  • Reduce pollution and ensure a more sustainable future.
  • Strengthen food security in the region, promoting a natural and balanced diet.
Canastas Verdes is more than a service; it’s a movement towards a more conscious, fair, and healthy food system for Pasto, Nariño.
