Description

kanthari: Inspiring Change with Less

At kanthari, in Kerala, India, we believe in the power of “low-tech” solutions for a better world. Our vision aligns with yours: living better with less to combat the environmental and social challenges of our time.

We train impact leaders – often from the margins of society – who have faced adversity and now want to drive positive change. Instead of complex systems, our participants develop practical, innovative solutions that are rooted in their communities and work with available resources.

We’re equipping a new generation of changemakers to show how focused action, born from lived experience, can spark significant shifts, proving that less can truly achieve more for people and our planet.

One important part of the course is the INANI program. Inani means Value in the Zulu language. The goal is for our change makers to look at materials that are seen as waste and to turn these into valuable products. Trash to Treasure.
For example, Chicken feathers and bones are turned into nutritious dog food. Or Water hyacinths are turned into eco-friendly diapers. Rice stubble to bricks etc etc.

Are you a changemaker looking for the skills and tools to start your own impact-making organization? You can apply for the kanthari program via www.kanthari.org.
